We are currently searching for a highly motivated Deployment Planning Analyst who will be responsible for developing itineraries based on recommended deployments, assist in researching new destinations based on competitive and current travel trends, assist the preparation analysis and reports that support departmental initiatives, and coordinate with groups including Marine Operations, Shore Operations and Product Management for the scheduling of itineraries, berth reservations and accuracy of itinerary detail through various communication channels.

Responsibilities

  • Researches new ports, destinations and itinerary options which utilize market research and guest feedback from port ratings surveys

  • Manages berth reservation process which includes proposed dates, arrival/departure times and related information in order to secure berth/anchorage positions for ships

  • Coordinates itinerary changes or new itinerary approvals with internal departments and facilitates the updates in POLAR reservation system.Maintain and circulate meeting minutes and manage action items to completion

  • Monitors, gathers and reports on competitive itineraries and deployments and recommends competitive claims

  • Researches solutions for berth conflicts and itinerary changes while maintaining integrity and commercial appeal of itinerary.Maintain and distribute reports to relevant port managers

  • Reviews marketing collateral, POLAR reservation system, website and other communication channels for itinerary and destination accuracy

  • Identifies key highlights of new itineraries programs and recommends effective ways to position new itineraries, ports and/or destinations

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience

  • 2+ years of experience in revenue management, market planning and/or analysis. Cruise or travel industry knowledge and experience is a plus

  • Ability to apply analytical skills, manage multiple projects, meet deadlines and maintain attention to detail and accuracy

  • Worldwide geographic or operational knowledge of cruise destinations is a plus

  • Proficient in all Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint

  • Familiarity with company systems including Business Objects, POLAR, VPS (Voyage Planning System), MIN (Marine Information System), BRS (Berth Reservations System) and/or POLAR is a plus

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Displays flexibility on the job and adapts well to change

  • Ability to build and maintain key relationships

  • Operates with a sense of urgency and is action oriented
