This job was posted by : For more information, please see: The Composite Supervisor is responsible for the development, design, administration anddocumentation functions of composite tool products. This individual is also responsible forensuring the design, engineering and general operation of this department complies with allcompany quality system procedures.This position requires a self-motivated person who maintains exceptional working relationshipswith colleagues, sales, manufacturing and customers. The right candidate is highly organized,able to multi-task and is detail oriented. The Composite Supervisor will report directly to theExecutive Director.*Responsibilities (to include, but are not limited to the following):*__ Provide technical project management and daily supervision of an expanding compositesdepartment. Schedule adequate and appropriate resources to ensure products/projects are successfullycompleted on time and the customer's needs are met. Report on performance and maintain a budget for the effective operation of thedepartment. Supervise layups, custom vacuum bagging, oven use, autoclave processing and operationof a Dake press. Identify potential problem areas and develop effective solutions while working in a teamenvironment.*Qualifications:*__ Working knowledge of resin/matrix types emphasizing on materials for aircraft relatedtooling and parts. Knowledge of press operation, autoclave and oven thermal process using vacuum bagmethods. Strong mechanical aptitude & mathematical reasoning. Excellent communication skills both written and verbal to include proficiency inMicrosoft Office to include Word and Excel. Familiarity with Catia or Pro-E is a plus. Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously in a fast paced deadline orientedenvironment. Direct supervisory or technical management experience is beneficial.*Education and Experience:*__ BS/MS in Engineering Materials Science or ME with Advanced Materials focus. 5-10 years of industrial experience with direct composites development, productionand/or design background.
